The name “Yindili” comes from the Kuku Yalanji language name for Kingfisher. The Kingfisher or Yindili looks after the river ecosystem throughout North Queensland and plays a big part in Aboriginal people History and Stories. When relating the Kingfisher ideology to recruitment it is centered around three core principles – Patience, Speed, and Agility.
